What is being done?
IT network services in the following locations will be at risk, due to essential electricity works by the Estates department.

This may affect workstations and servers connected to the IT network (wired and wireless), telephone services and buildings energy management systems.

When is it being done?
Saturday 18 November, 08:00 – 10:00 hrs.

Who will this affect?
All Staff and Students using IT and network services in the buildings below, whether on-site or via remote access.

Academic buildings:
Aberconway building
ASSL
CARBS Postgraduate Teaching Centre
CARBS Postgraduate Study Zone (formerly Guest Extension)
CASSIM Library Store
John Percival buildings
Julian Hodge (now National Software Academy)
Talybont site - Southgate House and the gym (student accommodation at Talybont will not be affected), and the Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS).

Student accommodation:
Student houses on Colum Road (3, 8, 9-11, 26, 55, 85, 100, 124-130, 148-156)
Student houses on Colum Place (6-10)
Colum Hall (87/89 Colum Road)
Aberconway Hall.


How will this affect IT service users?
Please see above. IT service users accessing these buildings are advised to save their work regularly during this period.
