What is being done?
The ARCCA Hawk supercomputer and supporting infrastructure will be unavailable whilst essential maintenance work takes place.

When is this being done?
Wednesday 3 April 2024, which is the usual monthly maintenance slot (first Wednesday of the month). Note that this will be a full service outage: Hawk will be unavailable and research jobs will not be running on Hawk on this day.

Who will be affected?
All users of the ARCCA Hawk University supercomputing service and supporting infrastructure.

How will this affect service users?
Hawk and supporting infrastructure will be unavailable on this day. We will of course endeavour to bring Hawk back into service as soon as possible once all necessary work has been completed. If you have any queries please contact arcca@cardiff.ac.uk

Why is this being done?
This service outage is necessary to allow essential maintenance work to be completed. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.
