Update
Whilst work continues on the network infrastructure, service has been restored with a degree of confidence ahead of the weekend.
Monitoring will remain in place 24/7, and engineers will respond at the first sign of any further problems.

Update
As part of ongoing work to identify the root cause of network on-boarding issues, a change is being made to the network infrastructure at 13:00 to 13:30 today.
Whilst every effort is being made to avoid further service disruption, some short service disruption may be experienced, but limited within the change window (13:00 – 13:30)
We apologise for any potential disruption and thank you for your patience whist work continues to resolve the issue.

Monitoring
Network connectivity has been restored to Halls of Residences, however work continues to be undertaken on the network infrastructure and service should not yet be considered fully resilient.

Students should follow the onboarding instructions for their devices:
Laptops, tablets, phones
Other devices (smart speakers, printers etc)

Update
Work continues to resolve the problem with device on-boarding in Halls of Residences.
Work will continue through the night, however engineers have confirmed service is unlikely to be restored this evening.

Engineers are continuing to work to resolve the problem with device on-boarding in Halls of Residences, and work will continue throughout the night.
Students are now advised to wait to onboard until this status page is updated to say that the issue is resolved.
We apologise for the disruption this is causing, and please be assured this is being treated with the highest priority.

Update
Issue confirmed to impact all Halls of Residence not just Talybont. Engineers are working to resolve the issue.
Those trying to connect are asked to re-try. This page will also be updated as soon as the issue is resolved.

Identified
University IT are aware student are having problems on-boarding devices iat Talybont Halls of Residence. Engineers are currently investigating the issue.
